In underground mining and tunneling environments, ventilation is essential to safety, compliance and productivity.  The SENTINEL™ Wireless Ventilation Monitor (WVM) delivers distributed airflow monitoring in hard-to-reach areas, helping operations detect ventilation changes early, respond faster, and maintain alignment with MSHA ventilation requirements.

By transmitting airflow data over the existing IWT underground communications network, the WVM provides centralized visibility into ventilation performance across active sections of the mine without extensive hardwired infrastructure.

The SENTINEL™ Wireless Ventilation Monitor is purpose-built for underground conditions. Its rugged design ensures reliable performance in environments with dust, vibration, and dynamic airflow conditions.

Flexible power options and seamless integration into the SENTINEL network allow deployment in permanent installations or temporary development headings, supporting both long-term infrastructure and active working sections.

Using advanced MEMS-based pressure sensing technology, the WVM measures differential pressure and calculates airflow changes with precision. Data is transmitted wirelessly through the IWT network, eliminating the need for additional fiber runs in remote areas.
