LYNCHBURG, VA, March 4, 2020 – Innovative Wireless Technologies, Inc. received the Robert E. Murray Innovation Award at a ceremony held during the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration (SME’s) annual conference. The award was bestowed on IWT by the Robert E. Murray Award Committee and the SME Board of Directors for technological advancements in mine communication and tracking.
“We are honored to receive such a prestigious award,” said IWT CEO Eric Hansen. “We take our responsibility to advance mine safety very seriously, not only within the scope of mine rescue but in a mine’s day-to-day operations as well. As part of the Robert E. Murray Innovation Award, IWT was given an engraved crystal, a framed certificate and a medal. In addition, as award recipient, Eric Hansen spoke during the SME keynote session on Digital Transformation and Next Gen Networking Solutions in Mine Operations and Mine Rescue.
