IWT Awarded DOE Environmental Sensor System Phase 2

Innovative Wireless Technologies, Inc. announced today that it has been awarded a Phase 2 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract through the U.S. Department of Energy for environmental monitoring sensors. This award is a follow-on to a DOE SBIR Phase 1 contract in which IWT partnered with Virginia Tech to successfully demonstrate the feasibility of its Integrated Environmental Quality Sensing (IEQS) system which utilizes IWT’s patented three-tier mesh architecture to create a highly-scalable IoT sensor mesh network and big data processing system for large scale environmental monitoring applications.
